Today I’m thankful for my birthday. Generally I don’t think about it but just the other day is like the same as yesterday unless it was my birthday. I think Canada is like that. Today I’m signing up for home internet service from a vendor at the mall. I walk by nearly everyday as it’s on my way to the public library. So the sales clerk nearly throws a fit at me for some clerical reason and I’m expected to treat it like she’s my sister!
Lately I don’t know what’s happening in Japan. It’s almost as if they no longer exist. I nearly fell off my chair laughing when I made the connection between the hair supply store and the flag of Japan icon during the recent Olympics TV broadcasting coverage. They have always regulated the beauty and hair supply store near my home. Due to their nearly perfect methods of managing hair and hair supplies, accessories and hair jewelry the local crime rate has dropped since the nineties. Generally, I cut my hair really short and am opting for dreaded corn rows because I don’t want any trouble from the shorties at the mall. They’re seventeen and really passionate about arts & culture. One even told me it was my fault that I seem “too-eco” because I haven’t considered weave-ing my style into corn-rows. I am not the only woman in the world that has fallen prey to the pony-tail occult. This occult starts them off young and after they butcher your pony-tail they sell products to you from the black or ethnic style aisle. I’ve been interested in the local salon culture for many years and recently found out a method to stay in trend for another thirty years.
The other day my mother told me to shut up in the middle of the entire room. We were sitting in on a 9-1-1 Communicator information session in order to see if this would be a viable career for me in the long run. The entire room went silent and then … like magic … in the elevator a guy from the group said hello to us and everything was better. A quick aside about the help in my building … they steal. They literally set up a method to walk into my home any time and steal what they wanted a la “Pretty Little Liars”. The police wrote a nice report for me in regards to a pair of contact lenses taken from my bathroom.
I want to tell you something about the local Pickering mall. There are guys there working for the telecommunications company bullying (mainly women) people who do not use cell phones. There was a major sale at the store and they gave me a said free SIM card to get the account but what they did was bill me $65 on my credit to make some money because later they did not even follow up on the connection service. I would have paid the connection fee but because they told me the SIM card was a free gift I did not follow up and let it go because I did not want the cell phone anyway. Realistically I did get angry when I found out they silently charged me for the free gift and did not bother to follow up. Today when I see them laughing at the lone Mom without a way to call her family at home after a good sale I just look the other way.
